You'll have to wait two more weeks to watch the sure-to-be freaky season finale of HBO's True Blood. Last Sunday's ep, "Frenzy," was one of the series' best yet. We were introduced to Sophie-Anne, the strange, hilarious and decadent Vampire Queen of Louisiana. But everything went to hell in Bon Temps while the Queen kept Bill waiting in her "day room." Lots of new questions were brought up (what's the deal with the egg?), and now it looks like Sookie Stackhouse's darkest night is about to fall.
On the lighter side, Syfy is treating us to a 24-hour Eureka marathon on Friday, and the always-awesome Joe Morton visits Warehouse 13 on Tuesday.
Head after the jump for more TV picks and previews.
Warehouse 13, "Regrets" – Don't expect the same playful and fast-paced dose of sci-fi silliness we got last week. Warehouse 13 is going slightly darker with an episode about artifact-related suicides at a haunted prison. Eureka's Joe Morton drops in to play an extremist religious leader serving time and messin' with the agents' heads. (Tuesday, 9 p.m. ET on Syfy.)
Eureka Marathon - Season three concludes in a few weeks, but Eureka will be back for a 22-episode fourth season – and a two-part musical ep -- next summer. Relive some of the series' best moments with a 24-hour marathon featuring eps from the last two seasons. Check out a preview for next Friday's ep guest starring Matt Frewer below. (Friday, starting at 6 a.m. ET on Syfy)
True Blood Season Finale Preview – I'm not sure if we'll find out more about that mysterious egg that showed up in the final moments of last Suday's ep, but HBO is promising a big finale with Maryann set to sacrifice Sookie and Eric and Sophie-Anne possibly conspiring against Bill. I'll let the network description and the preview video tell you the rest:
"Bon Temps reaches a fever pitch as Maryann prepares for her ultimate bestial sacrifice, conscripting Sookie to be Maid of Honor at the bloody nuptials. Meanwhile, Sophie-Anne warns Eric to keep the lid on Bill's inquisitiveness; Jason leads Andy into the heroic abyss; and Hoyt struggles with Maxine's endless stream of insults. Deliberating on what may be his final move to save Sookie and the town, Sam places his trust, and his life, in a most unlikely ally." The finale airs Sept. 13 on HBO.
